MAO is the new baby of Vinyl Group. This time, as well as designing all the architecture and interior design, they are also the co-owners. MAO stands for Music Art Oasis, a new and fresh club concept in Shanghai that we’ve all been waiting for!
Long time friend of Berwin Tanco, David Cade was enlisted to be part of this exciting adventure as the General Manager of the new venue. What could be a better guarantee for success than to bring together two of the most crazy, funny and professional guys to launch a new club???
Warehouse Studio was commissioned by the MAO team to work on their visual identity by designing their new logo. Pursuing a shared desire of going in an industrial and artistic direction, they chose a custom logo powered by dual start gears designed by Lucas Gurdjian. As a result of this first successful collaboration, Warehouse Studio agreed to work on several of Vinyl Group’s other domains including decoration and staff clothes.
As a result, Warehouse Studio member and fashion designer Margaux Painvin has designed all the staff clothes.
The Warehouse approach is to closely follow the industrial and artistic directions of MAO and to implement all the designs with their guidance down to the smallest details.
The result of this dynamic teamwork has already inspired more new and crazy ideas for MAO ! To be continued…
