H&M LAUNCHING PARTY // SHANGHAI

If you were in Shanghai last April 11th, you must have heard about the big, amazing and crazy event that rocked the whole city: the H&M party!!! This party celebrated the opening of the first H&M store in Shanghai and also exclusively launched the new collection designed by Kylie Minogue with Kylie herself on hand to sing her super hit, “Na na na na”!
Besides Kylies 9-minute hit rendition, the musical design of the party was presented by Michel Gaubert and Steven Brinke. Famous for being THE sound designer of many trendy fashion shows, parties and events, Michel Gaubert came to rock Shanghai and he certainly did just that!
So what’s the connection between Warehouse and Kylie? None, unfortunately… But what was even more exciting, Lucas was called to assist Michel Gaubert in making his musical arrangements. For this project, Lucas also collaborated with his friend, Dj and bass player, Scott Hess.
For two days they worked intensely on the eagerly awaited backstage party with the man Karl Lagerfeld calls his “sorcerer”… What could be better ? Perhaps a kiss from Kylie?

The new trend in Shanghai is the photo studio. Almost every event has
its own photo studio and if it doesn’t have one, believe me, it sucks!
The concept is quite simple: people are posing in front of a backdrop
which is generally branded with the main sponsor logo. Thanks to
instant printers, guests can have their pictures a few seconds later.
Fortunately for Warehouse, we are part of this new phenomenon since we
already had some great photo studio commissions. Plus, as designers, we
usually design the backdrop.
