PA-SHA FESTIVAL

Quand le cinema francais court a Shanghai...

2009-11-25

Warehouse Studio, co-founder of The Pa-Sha Festival.

The Pa-Sha Festival is born from the desire to promote the French culture and especially the French cinema during Shanghai 2010.
Following this desire, we had the idea of a cross-perspective between France and China that gives the opportunity to 1 French director to offer his vision of Shangai and to 1 Chinese director to show Paris through his own point of view.
The festival will then promote the French cutlure through two vectors and an original stylistic composition.
Shanghai and Paris, 2 very cinematic cities, will be shot by 2 artists through a common theme : the sensual city.
Four contemporary and artistic eyes will offer to the audience four ways of sharing, understanding and paying tribute to the French patrimony.
2010 will be the first edition of our Festival.

Created by Olivia Gurdjian, the Pa-Sha Festival has been then developed by Laetitia Gadan and Olivia for more than one year.

Paris will be shot by the emerging Chinese director Yi Zhou and Maurice Barthelemy will offer his vision of Shanghai through a short movie inspired by Jacques Tati.

Partners : MK2, Warehouse Studio & Otoko Films.
